A MODEL BASED ON A CIRCULAR, INCLUSIVE AND PARTICIPATORY ECONOMY
At KADALYS, we believe in products from sustainable resources and contribute to building a circular and participatory economy.
Our mission:
recycle and valorize agro-waste and co-products generated by the agro-food industry and in particular the banana sector of Guadeloupe and Martinique.
Every year, nearly 270,000 tonnes of bananas are transported by boat to Europe. But 15% of them, or 40,000 tonnes, will never be sold, because they are damaged, imperfect or alone. We give a second chance to these bananas discarded by the distribution circuit, these “forgotten, ugly and single bananas” by transforming them into quality care that is good for your skin and the environment.
We are committed to preserving our natural resources to reduce our impact on the environment and to supporting sustainable French production. We therefore collaborate hand in hand with local producers in Martinique and Guadeloupe to reduce food waste, and support their expertise, their environmentally friendly practices and their research program to promote new systems of sustainable cultivation and intensify varietal research. For 10 years, producers in Guadeloupe and Martinique have in fact developed a unique model of conservation agriculture which promotes biodiversity and respects the fragile balance between man and nature. Thanks to this, many species have returned to their original environment. This partnership also allows us to strengthen the traceability, quality and safety of our main cosmetic active ingredient derived from bananas.

ECOCERT – COSMEBIO CERTIFICATIONS
Members of the Professional Association of Ecological and Organic Cosmetics COSMEBIO , we adhere to their charter of good practices based on the commitment to a scientific approach, ecological and organic cosmetics supervised and controlled, the use of sustainable natural resources.
Our cosmetics are certified natural and organic by ECOCERT, a historic French player in certification in organic farming, with: 95% minimum of natural or natural ingredients.
95% minimum of plant ingredients from organic farming Our products are formulated without silicones, synthetic dyes and perfumes, parabens, glycols (solvents) and ingredients of animal origin.
For care developed since January 1, 2017, the COSMOS standard replaces that of ECOCERT . It was developed by five founding members of natural and organic cosmetics in Europe: BDIH (Germany), Cosmebio (France), ECOCERT Greenlife SAS (France), ICEA (Italy), Soil Association (Great Britain). The objective is to harmonize the certification rules for organic and natural cosmetics at European level.
It incorporates the principles of the ECOCERT standard : •Promote the use of ingredients from organic farming •Use production and transformation processes that respect the environment and human health •Integrate and develop the concept of “chemistry green »
The Cosmos Organic standard adds new criteria: •5% maximum of ingredients used as preservatives approved in a restrictive list •20% minimum of the finished product comes from organic farming. •Only biodegradable ingredients are accepted.
ORGANIC INGREDIENTS FROM GREEN CHEMISTRY
Green chemistry is clean and gentle chemistry, aiming for a minimum impact on the environment. We integrate this concept through 3 fundamental principles:
- The use of raw materials of plant origin and therefore renewable
- The development of environmentally friendly processes
- The production of biodegradable ingredients with low environmental impact.
It is from these three pillars that we have developed our Banana Bio-actives, powerful antioxidant complexes from the skin and pulp of the banana, certified by ECOCERT.

100% OF OUR PACKAGING IS ECO-DESIGNED AND RECYCLABLE
Eco-design is the act of taking into account the various environmental constraints in the creation phase. Our desire is to take concrete action to limit environmental costs at all stages of the life cycle of our products and our packaging (production, transport, reuse, recycling, etc.).
In order to minimize our ecological impact, 100% of our cases are printed from paper and cardboard from responsible sources and sustainably managed forests labeled FSC . We also print our instructions inside our cases to save paper. In the same desire to preserve the environment, 100% of our packaging is recyclable.
THE FSC Forest Stewardship Council LABEL is an international non-governmental and non-profit organization which issues an environmental label. It ensures that the production of wood or a wood-based product complies with procedures intended to guarantee sustainable forest management. When it comes to forest management, FSC rules are the strictest and FSC social and environmental requirements are the highest in the world.
Finally, our beauty bags and tote bags in OEKO-TEX certified cotton are 100% biodegradable, recyclable and reusable. The OEKO-TEX label certifies that the textile and dyes used (raw material, yarn, dye) do not contain any chemical substances harmful to health.
